From the 24th April 2024, our older 3G Prepay plans will start to close as 3G services are being switched off across all networks. It’s also worth noting that 2G & 3G services are already being decommissioned across the globe and this means if you have an old handset and intend on travelling abroad, you will need to upgrade this handset to a 4G enabled handset before you go – this is to ensure you have a service when roaming abroad. All of our new handsets are 4G enabled https://www.tescomobile.ie/prepay-phones.

Customers on "Simply Value" plans will be moved to our 4G Prepay 15 Plan unless you choose to opt-in for our Prepay Data Plus Plan before this date.

Don't worry, you will carry all your credit across with you to the new plan. We'll contact all customers by text, a minimum of 30 days in advance of the change. You can choose to switch to another plan, wait to be switched automatically or if you would prefer not to accept the change, you have the right to cancel your prepay service within 30 days without penalty by 24th April 2024.

Alternate Top Up amounts

  • By topping up €10, you will receive unlimited calls and texts to all other Tesco Mobile customers for 28 days and keep your credit to spend on the Tesco Mobile network.
  • By topping up €5, you will receive unlimited texts to all other Tesco Mobile customers for 28 days and keep your credit to spend on the Tesco Mobile network.

If you are a subscriber to the services affected by these changes and if you do not accept these changes you may cease to use your prepay service within 30 days without penalty, you must contact us before the 24th April 2024 to use your rights - please chat to us here, call us on 089 494 1000 or drop into one of our dedicated Tesco Mobile Phone Shops. Continued usage of services after the date of implementation on the 24th April 2024 is deemed to constitute acceptance of the change.
